Sergeant William Bishop enlisted into the 1st Battalion on the 13th February 1890 and was in “E” Company. He served during the Boer War 1899-1902 and was an acting Quartermaster Sergeant from the 4th December 1900. William was discharged on the 12th of February 1902 after 12 years with the Colours.
