Private Albert Bradshaw was born in approximately 1880 in Nottingham and enlisted in 1899 at the age of 19 years.  He served in the Boer War of 1899-1902 with the 2nd Battalion The Sherwood Foresters Regiment, 4th company 28th Battalion Mounted Infantry.
