The Sherwood Foresters Notts and Derbys
10th Battalion The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire)
Private Bull lived at Sherwood Street, Mansfield Woodhouse and was married to Mary Stacey. He enlisted on 18th November 1914 aged 37 years. He was a coal miner by trade. He entered France on 16th December 1915. He was awarded the 1914/15 Star, Victory Medal and the British War Medal. He was discharged on 6th November 1917 due to wounds when aged 40 years.
The Regimental Museum sadly only holds the 1914/15 Star, which was donated to the museum by a volunteer who had found it at a local car boot sale. Unfortunately, the other two medals were not with it. He was also awarded the Silver Badge number 298874.
