Sadly, little is known about Private David Chandler apart from that he served with the 95th Derbyshire Regiment of Foot during the Crimean War of 1854-65. He also served during the Indian Rebellion 1857-58. 

He was awarded the Crimean Medal with clasps Sebastopol, Alma,  Inkerman and the Indian Mutiny Medal with clasp Central India.
