Sadly, little is known about Private Joseph Hanson apart from that he served in the Indian Rebellion of 1857-58 with the 45th Derbyshire Regiment of Foot. He sadly died on the 3rd December 1866 whilst in Karachi, India. He is buried at Karachi, India.
