9th Battalion The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire) Regiment
Major Perrons was born on the 14th October 1919 and lived at Thorpe, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. He served with ‘A’ Coy and served in France and Belgium in 1940 and was evacuated through Dunkirk.
The battalion changed titled to 112th Regiment R.A.C (Sherwood Foresters), Emergency Commission with the 2nd Battalion serving with them in Palestine. He became Lieutenant on the 23rd February 1948. He was at HQ North Midland District at Bestwood Lodge, Arnold, Nottingham in 1948. He was discharged in 1948 and TA 1964. He became Captain on the 22nd December 1950, Captain with the 1st Battalion in 1951 and Major on the 30th March 1953. With the 5th Battalion TA, later 5/8th Battalion between 1950-64.
